On the morning of May 24 and the afternoon of May 27, 2025, at Campus II of the University of Labour and Social Affairs, the Department of Student Affairs and the Library organized the 2025 edition of the “Students and Employment” program. The event aimed to strengthen connections between reputable businesses and the university, with a particular focus on helping final-year students approach the labor market and explore job opportunities before graduation. According to the Organizing Committee, this year’s program brought together more than seven companies from various sectors including media, business, finance and banking, insurance, manufacturing, and services. These employers offered hundreds of job opportunities for soon-to-be graduates and recent alumni.

The on-site interview sessions took place from 08:00 to 13:30 on May 24, 2025, with six companies conducting direct interviews on campus. These included LACO Group, Kien Long Commercial Joint Stock Bank – District 12 Branch, An Tiến Phát Industrial Manufacturing and Trading Co., Ltd., Sun Life Vietnam Life Insurance Co., Ltd., Health and Education HUB ACC245 JSC, and JobsGO JSC. Available positions ranged across various fields, including HR administration, clerical work, accounting, customer service, assistant roles, sales, and consulting.

On May 27, from 13:30 to 16:00, the Institute of Applied Psychology and Education Science also conducted interviews for roles such as assistant to the institute director, psychology lecturers, and administrative specialists. The event drew the attention of over 120 students, many of whom participated in direct interviews held in dedicated classrooms and meeting spaces. The university carefully arranged interview rooms for each company, creating a welcoming and professional environment to help students feel confident in front of potential employers. In addition to the in-person sessions, seven other companies, including Vietbank, the Hospital for Tropical Diseases, and Phuoc An Garment Co., Ltd., invited students to interview at their business locations.

Recruiters and HR managers expressed a strong interest in identifying qualified candidates for their open roles, with a long-term goal of establishing ongoing partnerships with the university.

LACO Group, participating for the second time, highly valued the event’s efficiency. The company came well-prepared with detailed job descriptions and conducted thorough evaluations to ensure candidate fit. Their recruitment team was praised for their friendliness and enthusiasm.

Kien Long Bank (District 12 Branch) sought candidates for HR, business, and finance positions, drawing a large number of applicants. The bank expressed a desire to build a long-term relationship with the university.

An Tiến Phát Industrial Manufacturing and Trading Co., Ltd., a manufacturer and distributor of conveyor belts, was focused on finding accounting candidates with attractive compensation packages, while also hiring for HR and clerical roles. This was the company’s first time participating in an on-campus event, and they left with a very positive impression and wished wished to continue this partnership with the university.

Sun Life Vietnam Life Insurance Co., Ltd. emphasized financial advisory and internship roles in a professional training environment. After the interviews, the leadership team stayed to engage further with all participating students.

Health and Education HUB ACC245, a long-standing partner of the university, noted that many students were confident and well-informed about the positions they were applying for.

The Institute of Applied Psychology and Education Science aimed to recruit 19 candidates. They joined the event upon learning about the university’s reputation for training high-quality students. Through interviews, they commended the applicants’ soft skills, confidence, and even practical work experience despite their pending graduation.

JobsGO JSC focused on hiring for roles in sales, human resources, and internships, aiming to expand its market presence.

Many students arrived early to prepare for interviews. Several noted that the event provided a valuable opportunity to practice essential interview skills and gain insight into real-world employer expectations. Impressively, some students took the initiative to ask questions back to the recruiters, a move that was both surprising and appreciated by employers as a sign of potential.

At the conclusion of the two interview days, businesses praised the event’s organization and the quality of student candidates. Two companies—the Institute of Applied Psychology and Education Science and Kien Long Bank, District 12 Branch—confirmed that they would conduct follow-up interviews at their respective offices. Final hiring decisions will be communicated to successful candidates as soon as possible.

The “Students and Employment” program 2025 concluded successfully, having strengthened the collaborative relationship between the university and participating companies. This partnership plays a critical role in the training and development of high-quality human resources that meet the demands of today’s labor market. Continued collaboration between the university and businesses promises to provide strong employment pathways for potential graduates in the years ahead.
